Realising you’re pretty much tied to your hotel in Göreme, we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! Town center is just a quick walk away - close enough so you can reach anything, but far away so it’s not noisy. Learning most of the local activities take place either in the morning or in the evening, midday relaxing at the pool was priceless! One of the viewing points of Göreme is located right above the hotel - you can enjoy pretty much the same view that other people pay for and travel to! We woke up in the mornings, and went out to either hotel balconies to watch the hot air balloons in our PJ’s. We could still have a nap afterwards before enjoying the amazing breakfast. Our host Ahmet’s support was invaluable - we took his recommendations on activities and restaurants, and he kindly arranged everything for us. All our selected activities included hotel pick-up and take back. We could even have a flying dress photoshoot on one of the hotel’s balconies - we could spare the long travel time and inconvenience, and had the same gorgeous view (if not even better). Can only recommend :)

Roc of Cappadocia is a truly special hotel. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and lovely evenings in the many outdoor common areas, which were comfortable and well set up. Our room was clean and equipped with every comfort: soaps, slippers, air conditioning, and two new bottles of water every day. The staff was always very helpful and welcoming. We'd like to give special compliments to the cook — her breakfasts were delicious and prepared with love. Every morning she made a variety of treats herself, including omelets, savory pies, French toast, and other fried and non-fried delights. Through the hotel, we were able to take part in the Red Tour and the Green Tour. We also used the shuttle service to and from the airport: the arrival was perfect. Unfortunately, the return made us feel a bit uncomfortable — the driver (cappadocia express) arrived 10 minutes late, made us wait another 10 minutes before leaving without any apparent reason, and during the ride, he stopped twice to pick up and drop off a friend, without informing us of the detour. For €30, we expected a much better service. Aware that this issue doesn’t directly concern the hotel, we still highly recommend staying at Roc of Cappadocia.

The hotel is right in the middle of Göreme town, very short walk from the bus terminal! I arrived at 5am and the staff were very accommodating - I was able to use the rooftop courtyards and pool and got to see the hot air balloons just after I arrived! They organized for my room to be made available early and were very helpful in organizing and booking tours for me! They even made sure I got up and didn't miss my hot air balloon ride (I had slept through 3 alarms, but they came to wake me so I didn't miss my transfer! The breakfast was great with lots of options standing from sweet to savoury and a selection of tea, coffee and juices available! The room is decorated very nicely with beautiful Turkish carpets and provided towels, slippers and shower/bath products. The rooftop terrace is so beautiful with lots of plants and flowers, the rooftop viewing courtyards had lovely carpets and cushions which were great backdrops for photos and the view of the balloons from the terrace was amazing! There are lots of places to sit including cost swings, chairs and hammocks! It is a fantastic space to sit back and relax with a book or to sit around with friends and family to talk and laugh the night away! All of the souvenir shops and restaurants are walking distance, and all tours that are booked via the hotel come with pick up and drop off services!

We absolutely fell in love with this place! The hotel is beautiful: the rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is delicious and complete — although a little more variety would make it even more perfect. The terraces are amazing for watching the balloons, having a coffee, or simply enjoying the breathtaking landscape — even though we visited during the off-season and the decoration was not fully in place yet. The location is unbeatable, close to everything you might need. But the real highlight is the outstanding service and attention. We want to extend a very special thank you for all their care and for making a commercial gesture following a small misunderstanding (nothing serious 😉). Your kindness truly made a difference. We had an unforgettable experience, and the only bad part was having to leave. Don’t hesitate to book your stay — you’ll create wonderful memories here!

Great location for sightseeing, with a short walk from the center of the area. Great location for watching the balloons early in the morning. We could watch the balloons in our room and just outside the room. Very private view compared to other sightseeing spots. We specifically stayed in this hotel to experience the cave-like ambiance. Morning breakfast is also very pleasant, due to fresh food and the view. You can ask for cooked eggs. Very satisfactory pick.

Our stay at the rock of cappadocia hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking views that surrounded the property. Whether it was the sunrise over the mountains or the serene sight of the town at dusk, the scenery was simply unparalleled. The hotel’s decor added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, with beautiful flowers thoughtfully arranged throughout the property. Adding to the enchanting atmosphere were the fruit trees scattered all over the hotel grounds. Walking among the citrus groves and seeing the trees heavy with ripe fruit was a delight for the senses, bringing an element of natural beauty and abundance to the entire stay. Breakfast each morning was a delightful affair. The variety and quality of the offerings were outstanding, with each dish prepared to perfection. Fresh, local ingredients, including fruits picked straight from the hotel’s own trees, were the highlight. The flavors were both comforting and indulgent, making every breakfast a memorable part of the experience. The staff at Rock of cappadocia were truly the heart of the experience. (Lady fatima and the young man can’t remember his name and the lady at breakfast) Their warmth, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel incredibly welcomed. They were always available with a smile, ready to assist with any request or to simply share a friendly conversation. Overall, the hotel provided an unforgettable stay. If you’re looking for a place that combines stunning views, beautiful decor, lush fruit trees, delicious food, and exceptional service, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed in the Junior Cave suite which is built into a cave and therefore does not have AC. The rest of the rooms do have AC. This was a disappointment for me in such hot weather as I still needed airflow into the room. The 6am view of the balloons however makes it all worth it - it is magical. Delicious breakfast, refreshing pool and staff always ready to assist.

The location was central only a few minutes from the bus station and restaurants. The hotel was built against the steep rock face and cleverly uses this aspect to provide several levels of terraces each with wonderful furnishings and cushions under the shade of the overhanging vines. The breakfast terrace must be one of the best viewing spots for watching the balloons should the wind be towards the town. A continental style breakfast with many cheese, vegetable and olive varieties. Hot egg dishes cooked to order. The owners take pride in looking after it.

This is a beautiful hotel. The location is great, right among some fairy chimneys and the views over the town are beautiful. The outdoor area with all the different level terraces is very nicely landscaped and there are flowers and bigger trees providing shade too. The swimming pool is an excellent addition for the hot days and it was very picturesque relaxing by the pool on the swinging hamacs. The room/rooms was/were big (4 people - 1 Dble bed, 2 singles) and was large enough to provide some kind of privacy from one area to another via some little steps. The bathroom was large so it was convenient to use even with 4 people sharing and the shower area had a separate door which meant that multiple people could use the bathroom at the same time. The breakfast buffet had a lot on offer, and we could also order eggs made to choice. As the hotel is right on the edge of town, we did get the chance to see some very close up Hot air balloons on the day we left as we got up at 5 am. it was an amazing experience! sooo special.
